A new collection by Midsummer +1 went on sale today at Luna & Curious. The Dazzle Collection is inspired by the Futurist style camouflage painted on warships during World War One, such as the SS Empress of Russia.

Luna & Curious invite you to experience -  The Bizarre Adventure - an exhibition showcasing surreal delusions formed by two artists encounters in London

Vicious Sabrina is an art and design collaborative themed around the existence of the fictitious lady bearing the same name. Each of their creations, which includes jewellery, graphic art, video, and web design, are considered to be the result of the scientist’s uncanny experiments in her laboratory. 

Yuki Nishimura : A professional illustrator and animator based in London and Japan producing visuals for television commercials, apparel, publications and album artwork. 

Naohiro Seki : The art director of Vicious Sabrina, Jewellery Designer and Artist, based in London and Tokyo, Japan.

Ros Millar: Nuggets and other treasures

Another new designer to Luna & Curious this week is south London based jeweller, Ros Millar. Ros works using organic forms which she casts in cuttlefish or binds wire to create her unique shapes. The nugget range features little rocks so we can all have our own gold nugget. Finished in yellow or rose gold, silver and rhodium, the pieces, especially the rings, can be mixed and matched to build your own jewel collection.

BangBang Copenhagen

Luna & Curious is very excited to announce the arrival of BangBang Copenhagen childrenswear in store. Founded by Louise Lundholm and Mia Risager, the designers do not believe in the tradition of girls wearing pink and boys wearing blue, something that Luna & Curious definitely agrees with. They are inspired by the neatness of Japanese origami twisted with the coolness of streetwear. All the pieces are decorated with appliqued fabrics.

Musical Glasses Now In Store & Online

The Musical Glass is a wine glass turned into a playful instrument perfect for dinner parties. The graphics on the glasses are musical notations that correspond to the level of the liquid in the glass and will accurately produce the correct note when the user runs their fingers along the rim of the glass.

A full set of 12 glasses will cover a complete octave on the keyboard. Just fill or drink to the appropriate mark to start the liquid orchestra.

The glasses are made from Austrian crystal and are also available with gold annotations.

Easter Opening (or closing)

Luna & Curious at Shoreditch will be closed Good Friday through till Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday 10th April.

Luna & Curious at Sanderson will be closed on Easter Sunday & Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday 10th April.

Shopping isn't really the be all and end all so this Easter just enjoy hanging out with friends & family. This is what we plan to do...Easter Egg Hunts and Pin the Tail on the bunny, rounded off by the amazing Easter cake sold at Leila's on Calvert Avenue, trust us you will want some.

ARTAM: Tokyo-London

Luna & Curious is proud to be hosting ARTAM, a Tokyo based gallery shop. The pop-up store features many exciting Japanese designers including the first time that Shinji Konishi's amazing and renowned wigs have ever been seen in the UK. Signed copies of the catalogue are available for sale at Luna and Curious. The exhibition "Tokyo→London," is ARTAM's first in London and will showcase work by Japanese artists not yet seen in the UK. Artists and designers include etchings by Yoko Yamashita, music by Apogee, socks by ayame and contributions from Atelier tmh, mafuyu and Shinji Konishi.

A Two Pipe Problem

Just of the press and into Luna & Curious is a new range of cards and prints by letterpress studio A Two Pipe Problem based in Walthamstow.

All of the items are designed directly on the press - either the 1930s Stephenson Blake proofing press, the larger 1940s Farley or Adana - using nothing but old wooden blocks and metal type.

Old wooden type that is damaged or worn and inking pressures and temperatures results in no two posters being the same. This is all the charm of letterpress printing.
